Welcome to the Canadian Computer
Buying Guide, brought to you by the good folks at Micwil Computer
Consulting. We hope you use the comprehensive resources contained
here to help educate yourself before buying your next computer system
or upgrade. Hopefully, after spending some time on this site, you
will know as much (and in many cases more!) as a computer salesperson
and not only will you be able to ask intelligent questions, but you
will be able to understand the answers. And when you are shopping
around for someone to buy from, keep us in mind.
How do I use this site?
If you have a good idea about
what you want, then jump directly to the parts
pricelist and system
specials section of the web site. Micwil Computer Consulting also
provides a wide range of services.
Don't know where to start???
- First, go to the Systems
page to find out a bit about the basics of the computer industry
(no, it isn't like buying a car!). Go through the Needs Matching
Guide which should help you determine what computer hardware will
be required to meet your needs.
- Then make your way through
the various components of a computer system in the order of the
buttons at the left of your screen. You will know which page you
are on because the button will be white (instead of tinted around
the edges).
- Finally, point your browser
to links at the top of the screen and attach prices to the various
parts of the computer and determine which components fit within
your budget.
